Crisler Akwei Ankrah works as a principal consultant with Ankrah and Associates Ltd a Mineral Exploration, Mining Feasibility, Geo-Environmental, Acquisitions, Mineral Processing, Reclamation & Restoration Consultants. Crisler has worked as Geology Manager at Perseus Mining Limited through its metamorphic stages (Leo Shield, SunGold Resources, CAGL) from 1997 to 2012. During that period, he led the team to explored and drilled +300,000 meters for gold in both core and RC declaring a bankable feasibility study within three years on the then Ayanfuri Project and the project went on to be developed into a full fledge profitable mine till date. He holds a Master’s Degree in Geological Engineering from University of Miners and Technology and an Executive Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration. Crisler Akwei Ankrah has over 26years experience in mineral exploration, specializing in gold, diamond and other specialty minerals including tantalum-Columbite, rare earth metals including lithium. Crisler has an in-depth overview of the geology and mineralization of gold in the West Africa Craton and their respective potentials. He is a lateral thinker and has the ability to communicate complicated ideas to a wide audience, a team builder and motivator. He has the ability to provide guidance and experience to key decisions, he has an excellent professional, community and safety awareness. Cris’s career works has sent him throughout Ghana, Burkina Faso, Mali, Liberia, Nigeria, Tanzania, Spain, and the United States. He was a key member of a team that developed some significant resource leading to the operation of a mining activity including Mpesatia, Abore, Grumesa and the current Perseus’s Edikan Gold Mine in Ayanfuri Ghana. One of the major achievements in respect of this, is, leading the team to discover over a million ounces of gold under a waste dump which invariably changed the fortunes of the then Ayanfuri Gold Project. He is a member of the following professional bodies/associations: a Fellow at the Ghana Institute of Geoscientists (FGhIG) to which he currently serves as the President, a Member of the International Association of Hydrogeologists (MIAH), a Member of Geological Society of Africa (MGSAf), a Fellow at the West African Institute of Mining and Metallurgy (WAIMM), and a Member of Society of Economic Geology (MSEG).
