Stephen Adjei is the Senior Manager – Sustainability for AngloGold Ashanti Iduapriem Mine. He is a sustainable development practitioner with over 16 years transferable experience in the mining industry. He is a Project Management Professional (PMP); member of the Ghana Institute of Safety and Environmental Professionals (GhiSEP); as well as member of the Institute of Directors, Ghana. Stephen holds a Master of Arts Degree in Democracy, Governance, Development and Law from the University of Cape Coast, a Commonwealth Executive MBA from the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), and a Bachelor of Arts in Integrated Development Studies from the University for Development Studies (UDS). He also holds executive certificates in Managing Corporate Social Responsibility for Value Creation (CSR Economics and CSR Impact Measurement); Avoidable Mistakes in Land Acquisition and Resettlement; Advanced Professional Certificate in Mining; Fundamentals of Environment, Social & Governance (ESG); Negotiation & Influence Skills; as well as Safety Management. Stephen is an Elder of the Church of Pentecost and doubles as Chairman of the Estate Committee for the Pentecost International Worship Centre (PIWC) in Tarkwa. He is also a life coach, mentor, and a trainer. Stephen is a recipient of the prestigious Nobles International Award, under the auspices of the West African Nobles Forum. He is married and blessed with three children (two girls and a boy). In his leisure moments, he enjoys reading and watching documentaries on nature, discovery, and history.
